Launch & timing.

What arrives, physically: A real, handwritten postcard, posted from the contributor's own city. On the back: a private code.
What the code unlocks: The full story, photographs, a voice note, the person and place behind the card, and a way to write back — at /unlock.
How often postcards are sent: One edition per month, for as many consecutive months as your product includes.
When you enter the next edition: The first Postcard Year begins in September 2026 — join by 30 August to receive the first story. After launch, join by the 30th of any month to enter the following month's edition; joining later, you still receive your full purchased term.
If your address is missing: We hold that edition rather than send it to an incomplete address. Add yours any time in the Address Book, before the edition's fulfilment lock.
International delivery: Delivery time varies by country and postal service, and can't be guaranteed to an exact date.

When does the first Postcard Year begin?: The first Postcard Year begins in September 2026. Join by 30 August to receive the first story.
What is the monthly enrolment cutoff?: After launch, join by the 30th of any month to enter the following month's edition. Join after the 30th and you begin with the edition after that — the calculation runs on our server, in a fixed business timezone, never on your device's clock.
What if I join after the cutoff, or partway through the year?: You still receive your complete purchased term — 12 consecutive editions for the Postcard Year, three for Three Stories, one for One Story. Joining later only changes which edition you start with, never how many you get.
Is The Postcard Year a 12-month commitment?: Yes. It's 12 postcards over 12 consecutive months, billed monthly at $19/month ($228 total).
What is included behind the private code?: The full story, photographs, a voice note, the person and place behind the postcard, and a way to write back.
What is the difference between the three products?: The Postcard Year is 12 consecutive monthly editions for $19/month ($228 total). Three Stories is three consecutive editions for $69, one time. One Story is a single edition for $29, one time.
Do you ship worldwide?: Yes. International postal delivery time varies by country and can't be guaranteed to an exact date — most cards arrive within a few weeks of being posted, and the wait is part of the ritual.
What happens if my address is missing or incomplete?: We'll hold your next edition rather than send it to an incomplete address. Add or confirm your address any time in your Address Book, before the fulfilment lock date for that edition.
Can I update my delivery address?: Yes, any time from your Address Book — as long as it's before that edition's fulfilment lock. Once a card is in production, the address on it is fixed and can't be changed for that edition.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?: Use “Manage membership” below to open your secure Stripe billing portal with the email you subscribed with.
Can I share my postcard code with someone else?: The code is meant for the person it was sent to. Sharing it lets someone else see that private story, so treat it like you would any personal message.
